SACRAMENTO, CA (November 1, 2021) — A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident near Bandon Way and San Juan Road early Saturday.
 
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run crash happened around 1:00 a.m. Under unknown road conditions, a driver struck a woman, causing her severe injuries.
 
Soon after, the Sacramento Police Department responded to find the woman lying in the road and the driver unaccounted for. Despite efforts to save her, the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
 
At this time, detectives from the major collision investigation unit are searching for details regarding the hit-and-run driver and the details of the incident. Therefore, any witnesses with helpful insight should turn to authorities.
