Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Bicycle Accident on Pacific Avenue in Venice

 
VENICE, CA (August 23, 2021) – Police confirmed that a woman died in a bicycle accident on Pacific Avenue on August 20.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Rose Avenue at approximately 3:00 AM.
 
Based on reports, the woman was riding in circles in the middle of the intersection prior to the crash. Subsequently, a black SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban, struck her. Then, the driver fled the scene.
 
As a result, the cyclist suffered major injuries in the incident. Paramedics took her to the hospital, where she later died. Officials did not yet release her identity pending kin notification.
