Woman Dead in Bakersfield Bicycle Crash on Eucalyptus Drive

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 17, 2021) — A woman died in a bicycle accident on Eucalyptus Drive near Valencia Drive on Tuesday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 5:48 p.m. For unknown reasons, the female bicyclist decided to pedal across the street in front of an oncoming blue Honda Civic, which struck her soon after.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived at the scene to tend to the injured bicyclist. However, she died as a result of her wounds.
 
At this time, CHP officers have not released information surrounding the liabilities or circumstances of the crash. However, they have confirmed that the driver showed no signs of impairment at the time of questioning.
