Woman Killed, Children Among Hurt in 2-Car Crash on Clovis Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (December 22, 2022) — A woman died, and several children were injured in a 2-car accident on Clovis Avenue and Jefferson Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle collision happened during Wednesday’s foggy conditions.
 
Under unclear circumstances, a Mercedes-Benz either traveling northbound on Clovis Avenue or west or eastbound on Jefferson Avenue, crossed into the path of a southbound Chevy Malibu, occupied by one person. As a result, both cars collided at the intersection.
 
Due to the force, at least three adults and four children, between the ages of 2 and 4, in the Mercedes-Benz suffered injuries. Two of the children are in critical condition and two others suffered major injuries. Among those injured, were three adults. Tragically, one woman died.
 
At this time, officers have ruled out impairment as a factor in the accident. However, officers determined that the Mercedes was overloaded with people and car seats had been missing.
