Hit-and-Run Driver Slams into Apartment Complex on West Memory Lane in Santa Ana Leaving Woman in Critical Condition
SANTA ANA, CA (May 3, 2023) – A woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash on Memory Lane in Santa Ana late Monday evening on May 1.
The crash happened just before 10:20 p.m. in the Vista Del Rio apartment building at 1600 West Memory Lane. According to the Santa Ana Police Department, a minivan was traveling south on City Drive when it drove into the apartment complex. It ran over a few fixed objects at the complex before it slammed into the residence.
After the crash, the driver got out and ran away.
Responding firefighters found the female resident pinned under the vehicle. They were able to free her and rush her to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
A second victim was assessed at the scene and also taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
