Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Merced Pedestrian Accident on West 16th Street

 
MERCED, CA (May 25, 2021) – A woman was badly injured in a pedestrian accident at West 16th Street and Q Street in Merced.
 
The accident happened around 9:53 p.m. on Tuesday last week, May 18. According to the Merced Police Department, the 42-year-old woman was crossing the street, outside of a crosswalk, when a vehicle struck her.
 
As a result, the victim suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics transported her to an area hospital for treatment.
 
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
