Woman, Infant Struck by Car on State Street in Ukiah

 
UKIAH, CA (August 9, 2022) — A woman and a baby were hit by car on State Street near the Ukiah Fairgrounds on Sunday night.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian accident happened around 11:19 p.m. For unknown reasons, a man driving a four-door, dark-colored SUV struck a woman and a child in a stroller in front of the Ukiah Fairgrounds.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and brought the woman to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley for treatment. The driver reportedly left the scene but returned moments later.
 
At this time, investigators have not yet determined if alcohol played a factor. However, the driver was brought to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley to draw blood on suspicion of DUI.
