Car Involved in Rear-End Crash with Truck on Highway 99 in Turlock
TURLOCK, CA (February 14, 2021) – Crews airlifted a woman to the hospital following a rear-end crash on Highway 99 on the morning of February 9.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Lander Road.
Based on a report, the 36-year-old woman was driving a 2012 Chevy Cruze in the slow lane of the southbound way at the time of the crash. She reached down to grab something and took her eyes off the road. Subsequently, she crashed into the rear of the semi-truck. The truck pulled to the shoulder as it dragged the Chevy.
As a result, the woman suffered major injuries in the incident. An air ambulance transported the woman to the local area trauma center. Crews said the truck driver was okay.
