19-Year-Old William Pizarro Killed in Turlock Accident
TURLOCK, CA (March 27, 2021) – Authorities identified 19-year-old William Shawn Pizarro as the navy serviceman killed in a car accident on West Monte Vista Avenue, Saturday.
According to the Turlock Police Department, the incident happened in the 3500 block of West Monte Vista Avenue. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle struck a fire hydrant and an irrigation box.
Emergency responders rushed Pizarro to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Pizarro, a graduate of Orestimba High School, was serving as an aviation machinist mate at Naval Air Station Lemoore.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Pizarro’s family with funeral expenses.
Meanwhile, two other occupants, identified as a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, suffered moderate to major injuries. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment and evaluation.
Turlock police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Investigators ask witnesses to call Officer Richard Fortado at (209) 664-7399.
