Wan Mei Tan Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Valencia Street [Mission District, CA]

64-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Vehicle at Valencia Street and 16th Street

 
MISSION DISTRICT, CA (January 12, 2023) – Wan Mei Tan was killed in a pedestrian crash in the San Francisco’s Mission District Tuesday evening on January 10.
 
The fatal crash happened just before 5:51 p.m. at Valencia Street and 16th Street. According to the San Francisco Police Department, Mei Tan was walking in the area when a vehicle that was making a left turn struck her.
 
Mei Tan suffered fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene. She was 64 years old.
 
The involved driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Police do not believe intoxication was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
