Walter Rodriguez Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 14 Freeway [Santa Clarita, CA]

57-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Big Rig and Other Vehicles in Santa Clarita

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (July 19, 2023) – Walter Rodriguez was killed in a pedestrian accident in Santa Clarita Saturday evening on July 15.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:07 p.m. on 14 Freeway at Sand Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Rodriguez was walking northbound on the freeway when a big rig and other vehicles struck him.
 
As a result, Rodriguez suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 57 years old, according to Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
CHP officials did not indicate what kind of other vehicles involved.
 
It is also unknown if the drivers involved stayed after the crash, and whether drugs or alcohol was a factor.
 
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
