San Pedro Resident Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Grandee Avenue and East 103rd Street

 
WATTS, CA (April 24, 2022)Viviano Castaneda was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Watts early Friday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:35 a.m. on April 22 near the area of Grandee Avenue and East 103rd Street, near Ted Watkins Memorial Park. According to a Los Angeles Police Department, Castaneda was walking in the roadway when a car traveling south on Grandee struck him.
 
After hitting the victim, the driver of the car did not stop to render aid.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced Castaneda dead at the scene.
 
Castaneda was a 60-year-old San Pedro resident, the coroner’s office said.
 
Police described the suspect car as a white-colored, early model sedan with tinted windows.
