Viviana Mazon Dies in Car Accident on 8 Freeway Near Greenfield Drive

 
EL CAJON, CA (February 3, 2021) — 32-year-old Viviana Mazon lost her life on January 9 in a two-car accident on the 8 Freeway near Greenfield Drive.
 
According to a press report, the fatal two-car accident happened around 4:33 p.m. On 8 Freeway at the Greenfield Drive off-ramp, crews arrived to find two cars involved in the accident.
 
According to evidence at the scene, detectives say that the driver of a sedan tried exiting the Greenfield Drive off-ramp. However, under unclear circumstances, the vehicle struck a work truck and overturned.
 
The female passenger, later identified as Viviana Alicia Mazon, died after being ejected from the car.
 
Shortly after, the El Cajon Police arrived and requested rescue personnel, and paramedics arrived to confirm her death.
 
At this time, the cause of the accident requires further investigation, yet anyone with information should contact the El Cajon California Highway Patrol.
