Virginia Dougherty Dies in Car Crash on Holly Avenue at H Street

 
OXNARD, CA (November 9, 2021) — Virginia Dougherty died in a two-car accident on Holly Avenue at H Street on Friday, November 5.
 
According to police, the two-vehicle crash happened around 4:43 p.m. For unknown reasons, a man driving a Dodge SUV northbound on H Street collided with a westbound Toyota Tacoma, driven by 84-year-old Dougherty.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and rushed Dougherty to Ventura County Medical Center, where she died Sunday due to her severe injuries.
 
Following the accident, paramedics brought the 40-year-old Oxnard man driving the Dodge to Community Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
