Head-On Accident in San Jose Kills Rosaline Burgos and Vincent Burgos Sr.

 
SAN JOSE, CA (November 9, 2021) – Two people died in a head-on accident on Bailey Avenue in San Jose on Friday, November 5.
 
Police identified the victims as Morgan Hill residents Vincent Burgos Sr., 86, and Rosaline Burgos, 85, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
 
The accident happened around 10:13 a.m. just east of Monterey Road near 101 Freeway. According to the San Jose Police Department, a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck was heading west on Bailey Avenue when it entered the eastbound lanes, which are separated by double-yellow lines on the roadway.
 
Soon after, the truck hit an eastbound 2019 BMW.
 
As a result, the female passenger in the Chevrolet – identified as Burgos – died at the scene. The male driver – identified as Burgos Sr. – succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
 
The man driving the BMW was injured and also taken to a local hospital. He is expected to survive.
