Victor Gonzales Dead, Kyle Williams Detained in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Van Buren Boulevard near Clay Street

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (March 16, 2022) — Victor Gonzales died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Van Buren Boulevard near Clay Street.
 
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the hit-and-run crash occurred around 1:35 a.m. Tuesday. For unknown reasons, 38-year-old Kyle R. Williams struck 30-year-old Gonzales, who was walking on Van Buren Boulevard.
 
Shortly after, paramedics arrived within minutes after receiving 911 calls and pronounced Gonzales of Jurupa Valley, dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, investigators found no sign of the driver at the crash site. However, police spotted a vehicle with major front-end damage shortly after and arrested the driver — later identified as Williams — on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.
