Veronica Hurtado, Narbeh Nathan, Gohar Azadkhanian Hurt in Car Crash on Highway 33 at Husman Road

 
MERCED COUNTY, CA (December 1, 2021) — Veronica Hurtado was among the three people injured in a car accident on Highway 33 at Husman Road Sunday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 1:50 p.m. Per a report, 36-year-old Narbeh Nathan made a left turn onto eastbound Husman Road from southbound Highway 33. As a result of not yielding to the right of way of a northbound US Postal mail truck, the two vehicles collided.
 
Subsequently, the mail truck went airborne and came to rest on its right side. As a result, the 23-year-old postal driver — Hurtado of Modesto — suffered major injuries in the crash. Meanwhile, Nathan and his GMC passenger — 72-year-old Gohar Azadkhanian — suffered minor to moderate injuries.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and took Azadkhanian and Hurtado to Memorial Medical Center for treatment. However, an update on their condition was not available.
 
At this time, CHP officers have ruled out DUI as a possible source. Thus, anyone with more information on this crash should contact the CHP.
