Hit-and-Run Crash in Oakland Ends Life of 100-Year-Old Man

 
OAKLAND, CA (February 25, 2023)Tzu-Ta Ko was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Oakland Sunday morning on February 19.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:00 a.m. at 19th Street and Harrison Street. According to the Oakland Police Department, Ko was walking at the intersection when a tan or white Mini Cooper struck him.
 
After the crash, the driver of the car drove away without rendering aid.
 
Responding officers found Ko in the roadway with severe head trauma. Paramedics tried saving him, but he died at the scene.
 
Ko was 100 years old, officers said.
 
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.
