Tyson Popejoy-Farrell, Miranda Garrett Involved in Police Chase on Palacio Drive in Redding

 
REDDING, CA (October 28, 2021) – Police arrested Tyson Popejoy-Farrell and Miranda Garrett following an accident on Palacio Drive on October 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Shasta View Drive around 11:17 AM.
 
Based on an initial report, police found the suspects in a GMC Envoy holding knives. After that, they ordered Popejoy-Farrell to drop the knife but Popejoy-Farrell refused and started the vehicle. Subsequently, the vehicle hit an officer before fleeing the scene. Later on, it hit several pedestrians on Lema Ranch before it failed to stop at a stop sign and broadsided a white Ford F-150 pickup truck.
 
As a result, the officer sustained minor injuries. In addition, the 68-year-old male truck driver and his 62-year-old female passenger both sustained minor injuries.
 
In the end, Popejoy-Farrell and Garrett fled on foot before Redding Police officers arrested them for several offenses.
