Hit-and-Run at Market and 13th Streets in San Diego Badly Injures Pair on Scooter

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 6, 2021) – Two people suffered serious injuries in a scooter hit-and-run at Market Street and 13th Street early Monday morning.
 
The crash happened around 4:07 a.m. on July 5. According to the San Diego Police Department, two people on the scooter was heading eastbound on Market when a white Ford Explorer turning south onto 13th hit them head-on.
 
The driver of the SUV then drove off after the crash, leaving the victims with major but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Paramedics rushed the pair, a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, to an area hospital for treatment.
 
Authorities are still investigating and on the lookout for the suspect. They said the SUV may have front-end damage after the crash.
