Serious Injuries Recorded in Head-On Crash on Highway 94 in Jamul
JAMUL, CA (March 8, 2021) – Two people suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 94 on March 4.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just east of Vista Sage Lane around 5:25 AM.
Based on a report, a 1999 Honda Civic was driving westbound on the road prior to the crash. Then, it crossed over into the eastbound lane. Subsequently, it slammed head-on into a 2017 Subaru WRX.
As a result, the drivers of both vehicles were seriously hurt in the incident. Officials only identified them as a 20-year-old Chula Vista man and a 22-year-old San Diego man. Immediately, crews transported the victims to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
After the initial assessment, officers said intoxication was not a factor in the collision. However, they continue to investigate this head-on crash on Highway 94.
