CHULA VISTA, CA (October 14, 2022) – Two people were seriously injured in a car accident on 805 Freeway in Chula Vista on Sunday evening, October 9.
 
The accident happened around 10:26 p.m. at the intersection with East Palomar Street. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, officers responded to a report of solo car accident along the HOV southbound exit of the freeway.
 
When they arrived, they confirmed two occupants were able to exit the car after the crash.
 
The patients were transported to area hospitals with serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.
 
Police did not rule out drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash, which remains under investigation. They asked witnesses to contact them at 619-476-5320.
