Two People Dead in Visalia Two-Car Accident on Highway 99

 
VISALIA, CA (March 16, 2021) — Two people were killed in a two-car accident on Highway 99 near Avenue 48 Friday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Upon arriving, police learned that a northbound 2006 Chevrolet crashed into a 2003 Toyota pulling a trailer.
 
Upon impact, the Toyota traveled out of control and overturned. As a result, a 30-year-old male passenger in the Toyota died in the crash. Along with the Bakersfield man, a 27-year-old San Diego woman also died.
 
Shortly after the accident, paramedics transported the Toyota driver to a local hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the uninjured Chevrolet driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police during the investigation.
