Two People Suffered Fatal Injuries after Fiery Accident on Highway 86 near Carey Road
BRAWLEY, CA (June 2, 2022) — Two people suffered injuries following a fiery crash on Highway 86 on Wednesday, June 1.
According to the California Highway Patrol, they received the reports of the accident at 3:25 p.m. on southbound Highway 86 just south of Carey Road.
Reports said a driver crashed into a tractor-trailer rig which caused the car to catch fire. A witness called when they saw the vehicle explode in flames.
Officials closed Highway 86 between Keystone Road and Austin Road. Then they diverted traffic as emergency crews worked at the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
