Fatal Pedestrian Accident on North Harbor Drive near Nimitz Boulevard in Point Loma

 
POINT LOMA, CA (January 21, 2022) – Two people were killed following a pedestrian accident on North Harbor Drive on Wednesday evening.
 
According to the Port of San Diego Harbor Police Department, the incident happened on January 19, at about 6:05 p.m. A westbound vehicle reportedly hit two pedestrians near Nimitz Boulevard.
 
Emergency crews later pronounced the pair dead at the scene. As per reports, the victims were described as a man and a woman between the ages of 55 and 65. Authorities did not release the names of the victims, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Harbor police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers ask witnesses to contact the Harbor police non-emergency line at (619) 686-6272.
