Pursuit Ends in Crash near San Bruno Avenue in San Francisco Injuring Two Police Officers
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 15, 2025) – Two police officers were injured when a pursuit ended in a crash near San Bruno Avenue and Paul Avenue in San Francisco early Monday morning on January 13.
The chase began around 3:20 a.m. after SFPD officers spotted a suspect vehicle near 9th and Howard streets in the South of Market district that had evaded police on Sunday.
Officers observed the vehicle committing multiple traffic violations and attempted to pull it over.
The suspect driver failed to yield, leading to the chase.
The chase ended when the suspects crashed into a pole and the police vehicle crashed into a building near San Bruno and Paul avenues.
After the crash, the suspects fled the scene on foot.
Authorities seized a firearm from the scene and later arrested the two suspects.
Two SFPD officers involved in the crash were treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The San Francisco Police Department is handling the investigation.
