Wrong-Way Accident on Highway 138 in Pearblossom Kills Driver and Passenger

PEARBLOSSOM, CA (December 13, 2021) – Two men were killed in a wrong-way accident on Highway 138 in Pearblossom, early Saturday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 3:00 a.m. on December 11 along Pearblossom Highway at 133rd Street East. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane when it collided head-on into a 2020 Ford sedan. The impact caused the Chevrolet to overturn and land on its roof.
 
The 21-year-old driver of the Chevrolet from Rancho Cucamonga and his 49-year-old passenger from San Bernardino were not wearing their seat belts. Both died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford sedan and the lone occupant of the car, was not injured.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
