The accident happened around 2:11 a.m. on December 12. According to the San Bernardino Police Department, a 34-year-old Highland man was driving a 1997 Mercedes-Benz at a high rate of speed when he lost control. He then crossed the double yellow line into the path of a 2006 Honda Civic, driven by a 64-year-old Yucaipa man.
