Crash Involving John Deere Vehicle on Genesee Avenue in University City Hurts 2 Men

 
UNIVERSITY CITY, CA (January 10, 2023) – Two men were injured in a John Deere UTV crash at Genesee Avenue and Executive Square on Friday morning.
 
The crash happened just after 6:00 a.m. on January 6. According to the San Diego Police Department, a Honda Civic heading southbound collided with the John Deere Gator that was traveling westbound.
 
The impact of the crash caused the 75-year-old passenger to be ejected from the utility vehicle. He suffered serious injuries. The 52-year-old driver sustained minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old male driver of the Civic was unharmed. He stayed on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. An investigation is underway.
