Car Accident on Jurupa Avenue in Riverside Sends 2 Men to Hospital

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (July 25, 2022) – Two men were injured in a car accident at Jurupa Avenue and Pachappa Drive in Riverside early Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:18 a.m. on July 23 in the Magnolia Center neighborhood. According to the Riverside Fire Department, a vehicle went off the roadway and over an embankment into a railroad cut.
 
Both men were able to get out of the vehicle after the crash but needed to be removed from the trench by rescue personnel.
 
Paramedics then took both patients to a hospital, one of them suffered critical injuries while the other had minor injuries.
 
Fire officials said the crash temporarily affected Union Pacific Railroad trains that use the tracks where the vehicle landed.
 
The Riverside Police Department is handling the investigation.
