Wrong-Way Driver and Passenger Die after Crashing into 3 Other Vehicles on Beach Boulevard in Westminster
WESTMINSTER, CA (February 8, 2023) – Two people died in a wrong-way accident on Beach Boulevard in Westminster Monday afternoon on February 6.
The fatal accident happened around 12:51 p.m. in the 14500 block of Beach Boulevard, near Hazard Avenue. Police said a minivan was speeding northbound in the southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard when it slammed into three other vehicles.
As a result, the minivan’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center, where she also later died.
The driver of another involved vehicle was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center with a leg injury.
Authorities only described the two deceased as a man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s. Both were residents of Westminster.
