Rollover Accident on East Briggsmore Avenue in Modesto, 2 Men Killed
MODESTO, CA (May 23, 2022) – Two people died in a rollover accident on East Briggsmore Avenue in Modesto, early Sunday morning on May 22.
The accident happened around 1:17 a.m. just east of Oakdale Road. According to the Modesto Fire Department, a dark-colored SUV carrying two men overturned several times for unknown reasons.
Emergency crews responded and found the vehicle on its roof. They also located the two adult males nearby who had been ejected from the car.
Both men died at the scene. They were not yet identified.
Crews closed all lanes of East Briggsmore Avenue from Oakdale Road to Lakewood Avenue for a few hours while they cleared the wreckage.
The Modesto Police Department is still investigating the accident. They asked witnesses to contact Officer Kyle Johnson at [email protected].
