COLTON, CA (February 6, 2022) – Two people died in a rollover accident on the 10 Freeway in Colton, early Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. on February 5 at the intersection with Pepper Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, two cars rolled off the embankment and into a ditch in unclear circumstances.
 
When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from fatal injuries. They pronounced both victims dead at the scene.
 
The identities of the deceased were not immediately available.
 
All westbound lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed in the area during the clean-up.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
