Two Killed in Head-On Accident on Larkin Road near Riviera Road [Live Oak, CA]

Head-On Crash on Larkin Road in Live Oak Leaves 2 People Dead and Four Others Injured

 
LIVE OAK, CA (May 30, 2023) – Two people were killed in a head-on accident on Larkin Road in Live Oak Sunday afternoon on May 28.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:30 p.m. just north of Riviera Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry was passing vehicles when it slammed head-on into a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
 
As a result, two passengers in the Camry suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only identified them as a 59-year-old Oroville woman and a 52-year-old Fairfield man.
 
The driver of the Camry, a 49-year-old Oroville man, suffered major injuries.
 
Three people in the Ford suffered moderate to major injuries. One of them is from Gridley, the other two are from Santa Maria.
 
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
 
The CHP is handling the investigation. They urged anyone with further information to call the CHP Yuba-Sutter office at 530-645-6200.
