BRIDGEPORT, CA (December 7, 2021) – Two people were killed in a head-on accident on Highway 395 in Bridgeport on Sunday.
 
The fatal accident happened on December 5 just north of Highway 167. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Dodge sedan from Stockton traveled north on Highway 395. At the same time, a Toyota truck from Lake Forest traveled south.
 
For unknown reasons, the driver of the Dodge swerved into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with the Toyota.
 
As a result, both drivers suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. However, officials did not release their identities at this time.
 
A passenger in the Toyota was airlifted to Renown Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
 
At this time, the factors involved in the fatal crash remain under investigation.
