Fiery Accident Involving Semi Truck and Car on Highway 99 in Tulare Kills 2 People

 
TULARE, CA (September 13, 2021) – Two people were killed in a fiery accident on Highway 99 in Tulare Thursday evening.
 
The accident happened just before 8:30 p.m. on September 9, near Tulare Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car and a semi truck collided on the northbound highway in unclear circumstances.
 
However, the impact caused the car to burst into flames, killing the two people inside.
 
The identities of the deceased victims were not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the semi truck was not injured.
 
It is unknown at this time if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the fatal accident. Officials are collecting information at this time, police encourage any witnesses to contact the police.
