Fiery Crash on Avenue K in Lancasters Kills Couple

 
LANCASTER, CA (October 21, 2024) – Two people were killed in a fiery accident at Avenue K and 62nd Street West in Lancaster early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on October 19. According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, a man was driving a white Chevrolet Corvette westbound on Avenue K with a woman as his passenger. For unknown reasons, he lost control of the car and struck into multiple objects.
 
The Corvette then overturned and burst into flames.
 
As a result of the crash, both the man and the woman died at the scene.
 
Authorities withheld the identities of the victims, but said they were a couple.
 
It was unknown if alcohol, drugs or speeding played a factor in the crash.
