DUI High-Speed Chase on Fullerton Road in Rowland Heights Kills Driver and Passenger

 
ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA (July 4, 2022) – Two people were killed in a DUI high-speed chase on Fullerton Road in Rowland Heights on Friday evening, July 1.
 
The chase began shortly after 10:30 p.m. in nearby La Habra when an officer tried to conduct a traffic stop for a possible drunk driver. The driver initially appeared to yield, before speeding off and leading police on a pursuit, according to the La Habra Police Department.
 
The chase ended in the area of Fullerton Road and Aguiro Street in Rowland Heights. The vehicle crashed into another car.
 
As a result of the crash, both the driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle died at the scene.
 
Paramedics took the driver of the second car to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
No other information available at this time. The CHP is still investigating the fatal crash.
