Female Drivers Hospitalized after Wrong-Way Crash on 805 Freeway at Market Street in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 10, 2022) – At least two people suffered injuries in a wrong-way crash on 805 Freeway on August 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on 805 Freeway at the intersection with Market Street.
 
Based on reports, a grey 2019 Honda Civic was traveling the wrong way on the freeway prior to the crash. Subsequently, CHP received a call of a traffic collision on the northbound lane where the Civic struck a Dodge Caravan. Then, the wrong-way driver continued and struck a white Honda CRV.
 
As a result, the CV driver and the CRV driver sustained injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported both victims to the hospital in unknown conditions.
 
The CHP did not yet state whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. At this point, no other details are available. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
