Two Injured in Traffic Crash on 5 Freeway [Willows, CA]

Man Hospitalized, Dog Cared For by Willows FD after Traffic Accident on 5 Freeway and County Road 57

 
WILLOWS, CA (August 11, 2022) — Two people suffered injuries in a traffic crash on 5 Freeway on Monday, August 8.
 
According to the Willows Fire Department, the crash happened just before 8 p.m. on 5 Freeway, north of County Road 57. One vehicle with two passengers collided with another car with one passenger and their dog.
 
Medics rushed the driver with a dog passenger to Enloe. At the same time, the medical staff cleared the passengers on the other vehicle.
 
Willows FD subsequently transported the driver’s dog to the fire station. Authorities said the dog received a bowl of water and extra love and attention. The dog is still under the watch of the fire department until a friend of the owner can pick him up.
 
The age and gender of the people involved are not released at the moment.
