Traffic Accident on 80 Freeway in Oakland Involves CHP Car

 
OAKLAND, CA (February 8, 2022) – At least two people were in a traffic accident on 80 Freeway in Oakland on Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened on February 6, along the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the toll plaza. Officers said the accident involved a CHP car. There are seven CHP units at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported at least two people to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
It is unclear if the CHP officer inside the involved car was injured.
 
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
