CAYUCOS, CA (April 7, 2021) — Two people sustained major injuries in a rollover accident on Chaney Avenue on Monday, April 5.
 
At around 6:30 p.m., a Cayucos resident called authorities about a green vehicle rolling down a hill near Chaney Avenue and Gilbert Avenue.
 
CAL FIRE personnel responded to the area. They found two people ejected from the vehicle with major injuries. Medical personnel airlifted one victim to a hospital and transported the other by a ground ambulance.
 
There have been no reports if there are other cars involved or if impairment contributed to the incident.
 
Officials have not released the names of the injured parties. However, authorities continue to investigate the crash.
