SUV Overturns on 15 Freeway in Lake Elsinore Injuring Two People, One Critically

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (September 20, 2022) – Two people sustained injuries in a rollover accident on 15 Freeway in Lake Elsinore on Friday morning, September 16.
 
The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. along the southbound freeway at Minthorn Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV went out of control and plunged down an embankment on the west side of the freeway, rolling several times before coming to rest alongside Minthorn.
 
One person was thrown onto the roadway during the crash.
 
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews responded and found the ejected male occupant suffering from life-threatening injuries.
 
Paramedics took the man to a nearby Inland Valley Medical Center in critical condition.
 
A second occupant of the SUV suffered moderate injuries.
