Pursuit Ends in Crash near Sequoia Avenue in Simi Valley Injuring 2 People

 
SIMI VALLEY, CA (February 24, 2025) – Two people were injured in a pursuit crash near Sequoia Avenue and Coastal Oak Drive in Simi Valley late Friday evening.
 
The crash happened around 11:00 p.m. on February 14. According to the Simi Valley Police Department, officers attempted to pull a vehicle over for unknown reasons.
 
The driver of the vehicle backed up before speeding away, leading officers on a pursuit.
 
During the pursuit, the suspect hit high speeds and drove recklessly on surface streets before eventually crashing into a pole near the onramp to the eastbound 118 Freeway.
 
The impact damaged the vehicle that landed in a brush area.
 
Police found two suspects with minor injuries from the crash.
 
The driver was taken into custody and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for felony evading.
 
No other information was immediately available. An investigation is ongoing.
