Police Arrest Drunk Driver after Crash on Highway 126 in Valencia

 
VALENCIA, CA (February 28, 2023) – Two people were injured in a DUI crash on Highway 126 in Valencia on February 19.
 
The crash happened around 4:20 p.m. just east of Travel Village. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Jeep and Ford pickup truck collided in the area.
 
As a result, two people inside the truck suffered unspecified injuries.
 
The driver of the Jeep, 37-year-old Nelson Zelaya from Los Angeles, was determined to have been driving under the influence of alcohol. Police arrested him for felony DUI causing injuries.
 
Zelaya was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station with bail set at $100,000, according to booking logs.
 
Further investigation is underway.
