2 Riders Suffers Injuries after Crashing on Highway 74 in Mountain Center

 
MOUNTAIN CENTER, CA (October 25, 2021) – Two people suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident on Highway 74 in Mountain Center Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened at little before 5:00 p.m. on October 22 just west of the mountain community. Riverside County Fire Department crews were investigating a separate non-injury accident involving a sedan that plunged down an embankment when two motorcycles went down a few miles away.
 
Firefighters proceeded to the motorcycle wreck and found one rider critically injured and another with minor injuries, officials said.
 
An emergency airlift was requested for the rider with major injuries, while the second man declined medical attention.
 
Crews established a makeshift landing zone adjacent to the highway for the Mercy Air helicopter.
 
An investigation into this crash is underway.
