Pickup Truck Crashes in Wash Tunnel under Sherman Road Injuring 2 People

 
MENIFEE, CA (February 15, 2022) – Two people were injured in a high-speed accident under Sherman Road in Menifee on Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 5:16 a.m. on February 11 just between Ethanac Road and McLaughlin Road. According to the Menifee Police Department, a blue pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into a concrete abutment in a rural wash. The impact caused heavy damage on the truck.
 
Responding officers found two occupants trapped inside the truck. Paramedics took both patients to a nearby hospital, one of them sustained serious injuries while the other had moderate injuries.
 
At this time, it is still unknown what led to the crash. Further investigation is underway.
