Head-On Crash on Alpine Road Leaves 2 Driver Hurt, 1 Seriously
ALPINE, CA (January 14, 2023) – Two people were injured in a head-on accident on Alpine Road Tuesday night on January 10.
The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. near West Willows Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a man in a 1987 Suzuki Samarai was heading west on Alpine Road when he drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a 2003 Honda Accord head-on.
As a result of the crash, the Suzuki overturned and the 40-year-old driver from Santee was seriously injured. He was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The 70-year-old driver in the Honda was also injured and hospitalized.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
