Driver and Passenger Hurt after Head-On Crash on Fiddyment Road near Sunset Boulevard

 
ROSEVILLE, CA (September 27, 2021) — Two people suffered injuries in a head-on accident on Fiddyment Road on Thursday, September 23.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Fiddyment Road near Sunset Boulevard shortly before 3:30 p.m.
 
Auburn area CHP said the driver of a Honda moved southbound on Fiddyment. Then he lost control and veered into the northbound lane in the path of a semi-truck.
 
The Honda partially hit the truck head-on. The impact resulted in major injuries for the Honda driver and his passenger. Officers freed both men from the vehicle. They were and were unconscious when medics rushed them to the hospital.
 
The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt.
 
Authorities temporarily closed Fiddyment Road in both directions in the area.
 
CHP said drugs may have contributed as a factor in the incident.
