FRESNO, CA (August 30, 2021) – Two people were injured in a DUI accident at Church Avenue and Chestnut Avenue Sunday morning.

The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. on August 29. According to the Fresno Police Department, a black Toyota Camry was traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit multiple vehicles after running a red light at the intersection.

As a result, the drivers of the Camry and a van both suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics transported them to a hospital for treatment.

Officers suspect the driver of the Camry was driving under the influence at the time of the crash.

No arrest has been made at this time, but the crash remains under investigation.
